Are you the type of leader who rolls up your sleeves, leads by example, and takes pride in creating safe, functional, and welcoming environments for others?
We're partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization that serves children, families, and communities throughout Los Angeles County. Their work is built on compassion, service, and empowerment, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. This is an opportunity to join a team where your work directly supports a greater purpose and where the condition, safety, and functionality of the campus play a vital role in the organization's ability to serve the community.
We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager who can confidently lead facilities operations while actively contributing alongside their team. This is not a role for someone who manages from behind a desk. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable facilities professional with strong leadership skills, experience across multiple building maintenance trades, and the ability to oversee a large campus with extensive equipment, infrastructure, and operational needs.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, safety, housekeeping, and physical upkeep of multiple facilities across Los Angeles County. This role supervises facilities and housekeeping personnel, manages preventative maintenance programs, oversees vendors and contractors, supports capital improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.
The successful candidate will balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring facilities are operating efficiently, safely, and in support of the organization's mission.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status. We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act, City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
